Yes — the core platform is completely free with no bird limits, no hidden fees, and no credit card required. You get full access to farm records, analytics, marketplace, financing applications, and the mobile app. Premium tiers with dedicated extension officers and advanced features are coming soon.

After building consistent farm records, navigate to Financing in the app. Our credit algorithm assesses your farm performance data (FCR, mortality, revenue history) and generates a preliminary decision. An extension officer conducts a physical farm assessment to verify your setup. Most approvals are completed within 48 hours.

Create a quotation request from your dashboard specifying bird type, quantity, location, and terms. Off-takers and buyers can browse listings and submit offers. Once both parties agree, payment is processed via M-Pesa. The platform handles the entire paper trail.

Extension officers are certified agricultural or veterinary professionals on our network. You can request services like advisory calls (KES 500), farm visits (KES 800), disease investigations (KES 1,000), vaccinations (KES 10/bird), and group training (KES 200/person). Services are booked and paid for directly in the app.

Yes. Core record-keeping — daily feed logs, mortality, egg collection, vaccination records — works fully offline on your phone. Data syncs to the cloud automatically when you reconnect to data or WiFi. Marketplace, financing, and live notifications require an active connection.

We currently serve farmers across all 47 counties in Kenya, with the highest concentration in Central, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Eastern, and Western regions. Extension officer availability varies by county — you can check available officers for your sub-county in the app.

Yes. You can manage multiple farms under one account. Cooperatives are created by administrators with leadership roles (chairperson, secretary, treasurer). Existing farmers join using a group code — request membership via the app, get approved by a leader, and verify with an OTP. Cooperatives share analytics and can coordinate collective marketplace activity.

Six roles can self-register: Farmer, Extension Officer, Farmer Agent, Agro Vet, Housing Specialist, and Job Seeker. Farm employees are created by farmers (not self-registered). Each role has a tailored onboarding flow and in-app experience.

M-Pesa is the primary payment method for extension services, marketplace transactions, and loan repayments. The platform also supports Airtel Money and bank transfers. All in-app service payments are processed securely through integrated mobile money.

Yes! Veterinary professionals register as extension officers to offer paid services like farm visits, disease investigation, and vaccination. Agro-vets register to list products — feeds, vaccines, day-old chicks, and equipment — for farmers to order directly in the app.

Absolutely. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We implement strict role-based access controls, regular security audits, and never sell your personal data. You can request a copy of your data or deletion at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

IoT sensors are physical devices installed in your chicken houses that monitor temperature, humidity, and air quality in real time. They connect to a hub device and send data to your e-Poultry dashboard via MQTT. You receive instant alerts when conditions fall outside safe thresholds — helping prevent heat stress, disease outbreaks, and mortality.
